1985 Bears continue their tour at the Golf Show

As the 30-year anniversary of the Super Bowl champion Bears comes to an end, the stars of that team continue their public tour. The next spot fans will be able to see the retired champs, fittingly, is the Chicago Golf Show.

Throughout the Golf Show weekend, February 26-28, a player will be at the show doing something they probably aren’t all that used to, told what to do.

From the Golf Show press release:

Three members of the 1985 Super Bowl championship team – tight end Emery Moorehead (Friday), cornerback Mike Richardson (Saturday) and linebacker Jim Morrissey (Sunday) – will try to sharpen their golf games by taking lessons from Illinois PGA professionals Kevin Weeks, Brad Syslo and Kurt Kollmeyer, respectively.

Making a putt is hard enough, but imagine sinking a 15-footer with a member of the ’85 Bears defense looking on.

Golf Show operator Tom Corcoran said he is thrilled to have three members of the greatest team in NFL history at the show. A topic that has been hotly debated after the dominating performance by the Denver Broncos defense in Super Bowl 50.

In addition to the three former Bears, some familiar faces will be in attendance at the Golf Show. Bulls pre and post-game host Steve Kashul will get a lesson from a pro golfer, as will ESPN 1000 and CSN Chicago host David Kaplan.
