Ron Rivera waited nine years to get back to the Super Bowl, now the Panthers coach is hoping his next wait isn’t quite as long.
Shortly after suffering a 24-10 loss to Denver in Super Bowl 50, Rivera spoke about getting back to the big game in a postgame interview:

Rivera – a linebacker on the 1985 Bears championship team – also served as Chicago’s defensive coordinator during the 2006 season, the last time the Bears reached the Super Bowl.
Both losses came against Peyton Manning.
